How to watch the NFL without cable in 2026
There is no single nationwide NFL subscription that covers every game on every screen. Local Sunday games use CBS or FOX, Sunday night uses NBC, Monday night uses ESPN or ABC, Thursday night uses Prime Video, and special games can land on NFL Network, Netflix, or another named partner. Out-of-market Sunday afternoon games require Sunday Ticket. NFL+ carries live local and national games on phones and tablets, not a TV.
The decision rule
Do not buy the league. Map the games.
Build around the team and the screen. A local-market fan needs the local CBS and FOX stations plus the national windows; an out-of-market fan also needs Sunday Ticket. Mobile-only NFL+ access is not a living-room replacement.
